It’s always a pleasure to walk through the Wonthaggi Wetlands but the lake and birdlife this chilly misty morning was magic.
These wetlands are a work of love by the community, in particular the Urban Landcare Group, with the oversight of the shire council.
It’s a privilege to have a reserve that’s so central to the town and so accessible.
Attractive signage drawing attention to the flora and fauna is a recent addition. Text is by Terri Allen and photos by Geoff Glare.
The wetlands are a fabulous community resource. Thank you all.
