SURFING Victoria has announced the team set to represent Victoria at the 2017 Australian Surf Festival.
Local super grom Sage Goldsbury from Phillip Island has been selected to take part in the Open Women category at just 14 years of age.
Goldsbury has been killing the Victorian surf scene, winning the 2016 Under 14 Girls section and placing third in the 2016 Open Women’s section.
Currently sitting second in the Under 16 Girls and fourth in the Open Women’s categories this year, Goldsbury will be one to watch at the festival going up against some of Australia’s best surfers.
Other local team members include Luke Archibald, Arthur McKenzie and Andrew Burgan from Phillip Island as well as Stephen Noble from Cape Paterson.
The Victorian team is stacked with plenty of talent and should be a force come competition time.
The event will be held on the Tweed Coast in northern New South Wales from July 28 to August 14 and will host divisions across four disciplines; Longboard, Logger, Shortboard and Bodyboard.
