GRAZIERS are invited to an educational day out at Ross Batten and Madeline Buckley’s Buffalo beef farm on Tuesday, May 15.
Hosted by South Gippsland Landcare Network, ‘Opportunities with Climate, Cows and Carbon’ will present new research and perspectives from guest speakers Richard Eckard of Melbourne University, Mathew Warnken of Corporate Carbon, and Healthy Soils, Sustainable Farms project coordinator Tony Gardner.
Learn about future climate challenges and opportunities for the grazing industry and pasture production in South Gippsland, as well as the ins and outs of the Emissions Reduction Fund.
Results from Ross’ Soilkee trial plot will also be discussed, with opportunity to view the soil profile.
Ross and Madeline’s farm is located at 160 Buffalo-Waratah Road, Buffalo. Afternoon tea will be provided, but BYO deck chair.
