LCHS has a rare opportunity for an accomplished internal communications professional to join our marketing and communications team in a newly-created role.

We require an organised all-rounder who can write compelling copy for a staff newsletter, provide communications advice to the Executive team, and update the staff intranet – all on the same day.

Reporting to the Manager, Marketing and Communications, the successful candidate will have:
• impeccable writing, spelling and grammar
• the ability to build strong trust-based relationships with all staff, including the Executive team
• demonstrated experience in providing internal communications advice
• proven intranet management skills
• tertiary qualifications in communications, journalism, or related discipline

Mental Health Nurse Coordinator

• Fixed Term, Full Time (until December 2019)

LCHS has a fixed term vacancy for a Mental Health Nurse Coordinator to join the Forensic Mental Health in Community Health Program (FMHiCHP). You’ll need to be skilled in the delivery of community based mental health and forensic services, have the ability to provide evidence informed assessments and support, and carry a clinical load.

The Mental Health Nurse Coordinator will provide clinical and operational leadership to the FMHiCHP team under the direction of the Executive Director Primary Health at LCHS.

The successful applicant will be a registered Division 1 Nurse, have recent experience in a mental health and/or forensic health setting, and extensive clinical and leadership capabilities. A Masters of Nursing (Mental Health) is desirable as is post graduate qualifications or working towards the same.

LCHS has a fixed term vacancy for a Psychologist to join our Forensic Mental Health in Community Health Program (FMHiCHP) providing assessment and treatment to those on a community corrections order (CCO) and potentially reducing the risk to the community.

As a psychologist with the FMHiCHP you will work with adults who have a primary diagnosis of a moderate severity mental illness or disorder, are assessed as being at high/moderate risk of reoffending, and who have a court mandated condition on their CCO to undertake mental health treatment and rehabilitation.

The successful applicant will be a qualified psychologist with endorsement in clinical psychology or forensic psychology, and AHPRA approved supervision status. Postgraduate studies in assessment and treatment with forensic populations is desirable.
