THE new Poowong CFA station will be officially opened next month according to Captain Malcolm Blight.
Despite being operational for several months now, the $400,000 complex has not been officially launched.
The Brisbane Street facility is a major upgrade from the brigade’s former shed in Ranceby Road.
The brigade has been servicing the local community for more than 60 years and has more than 30 active members.
A specific date for the October opening is yet to be announced.
