It’s already organised. The Lib/Nat “would-be” Government is all set to abolish the Clean Energy Finance Corporation. Their Chair (the very decent Liberal Member for Macmillan, Mr Russell Broadbent, AO) received a letter of advice to this affect last week (August 5).
As a constituent, I can only wonder how he will explain the reasons behind this decision in the coming weeks. In the meantime, it’s worth looking at the Clean Energy Finance Corporation’s website to see what apparent devilment they have been up to under Mr Broadbent’s chairmanship. All I could find were announcements of completion and further plans for the development of clean energy; shocking things such as solar power stations, wind farms, a street lighting grant to Baw Baw Shire, bringing both financial and emissions savings, etc, etc.
And how outrageous is this one? Darling Downs Fresh Eggs (DDFE) will use the chicken manure and other organic waste from its egg production business to generate power and save more than $250,000 a year. But please do Google Clean Energy Finance Corporation to discover all the info about them and their “nefarious” schemes which it is obvious that the Opposition feels must be done away with forthwith!
