WONTHAGGI businesses are aiming to reward their loyal customers with prizes at Christmas simply for shopping locally. Under the auspices of the Bass Coast Business and Tourism Partnership and the Wonthaggi Business Association, they are offering customers and loyalty card program that operates pretty much like the ‘extra bread’ deal offered by a prominent bakers franchise.
“All you have to do is pick up a Loyalty Card from participating stores and business in Wonthaggi and start getting it stamped each time you spend $20 or more,” said Hannah Quilford, the executive officer for the BCBTP. “The cards can be dropped in at the boxes provided at Betta Home Living in Murray Street, Foon’s Electronics in McBride Avenue, Connell’s Bakery and Melbourne Furnishing Company. “It’s all about putting some excitement back into shopping in Wonthaggi and rewarding those who make it an effort to shop locally.
“We’ll have a prize draw for upwards of $2000 in prizes at our Christmas fun day on Saturday, December 14.” Watch for details next week about participating stall holders some of whom will be offering other great deals for card holders. The cost is $25 for WBA/partnership members or $75 per business. Those considering supporting WBA events in the future might consider joining the WBAQ/partnership for $130 (entry level).
