bass-ceo-backs-planning-recordIt has been suggested that I should let the community know I have resigned as the president of the Cowes Community Committee.
I have done so with a great deal of sadness as my personal integrity and that of the committee had been put at risk.
This issue has also brought about the resignation of Tim Shannon, vice president, Karen Green and Robert Newall, all of whom held similar views.
By now you will be well aware of the CCC’s achievements of the past two years, including that of the commitment to proceed with the Cowes Activity Centre Plan.
We have worked constructively with the Bass Coast Shire Council and the community, as well as governmental bodies, to try to improve the amenity of Cowes and Phillip Island.
I have had the unconditional support from many members of the committee and am very grateful for all the time and energy spent, as well as the belief in our vision, to make so much possible.
There is a lot still to be achieved. I remain passionate about the Island and am willing to assist where I can to achieve a great outcome for Cowes and the Island generally.
Deborah Holland.
