SELLING Houses Australia, the highest-rating, non-sports program on Fox, had its film crew and tradesmen out at Kongwak over the weekend applying the glamour treatment to a ‘charming’ rural retreat in the hip little hamlet.
Having spruced up a lovely, three bedroom home, located in the township, just down from the primary school on Inverloch-Kongwak Road; the film crew set about painting the canvas.
They took in the magnificent rural views, looking their absolute best at this time of the year; they captured the beautiful beaches only minutes away at Inverloch and they then provided some pizzazz by visiting the chic Kongwak Market.
While they were there, the film crew and the program’s presenter Andrew Winter handed out pamphlets, chatted with market visitors and stallholders and kept the cameras rolling while they were at it.
Local selling agents, LJ Hooker, and the property’s owners were delighted with the exposure and are hoping for a big boost in interest.
“Where would you find another like this, just 10 minutes from Inverloch and its pristine beaches… set amongst rolling hills in a picturesque valley village,” it says on the LJ Hooker website.
Wood heater inside, great kitchen in a big open plan living area and the barbecue out the back as a feature of the entertainment area.
As a rural retreat, it’s bound to play well to city and local viewers of ‘Selling Houses’.
And once again it was a case of ‘you never know who you might see at the Kongwak Market’ on any given Sunday.
