OMK stalwarts Warrick Hayes and George Lomagno both played in significant milestone matches on the weekend. Warrick played his 300th game for the Diggers in C Grade Division 2 against Wonthaggi Miners but unfortunately his side couldn’t get across the line. George played his 400th game for the club in C Grade Division 1 against Wonthaggi Workers and came away with a win.
THE OMK Cricket Club had many reasons to celebrate on the weekend, with the official opening of the new change rooms as well as momentous milestones for two club legends.
The new change rooms, deck and toilets were opened and will be known as ‘The Whitehouse’, in honour of Les and Russell White, who have volunteered many years of service to the club.
All current life members were in attendance to officially open the new rooms along with foreman of the project and major sponsor, Brendan Nicholas Builders.
The Diggers also commemorated two milestones over the weekend.
George Lomagno pulled on the whites for his 400th game, and had a solid win in C Grade Division 1 against Wonthaggi Workmen’s.
Warrick Hayes stepped out for his 300th game for OMK but unfortunately his side couldn’t find a win against Wonthaggi Miners in C Grade Division 2.
