AN OFFICER from the Sheriff’s Department and police perform a random check on a driver in Leongatha recently.
The Sheriff’s Department said the joint
operation nabbed 20 people with 167 outstanding warrants.
The 20 people had outstanding money owed to the state for a range of offences – valued at about $64,000.
The joint operation on the South Gippsland Highway used registration tracking cameras near the Bellingham Street intersection and officers checked paperwork, registration and performed BAC testing near the town’s exit and Smith Street. D014814.
