We have been camping at Wilson’s Prom National Park for over 45 years and our children and grandchildren go there now.
We are appalled at the fees which have been steadily increasing. Some of which may be due to day visitors not being charged anymore.
Perhaps it could be re-introduced through an honesty box placed at the entrance as they do in many parts of Australia.
Families go there for a relaxed holiday, rain, hail or shine. They should not be subjected to these high fees to camp. Life is difficult enough with mortgages and everyday expenses.
We are also disappointed to see the childrens’ playground removed to make way for a discovery centre which will not be of any benefit for one to four year olds. Children of all ages use the Prom.
