Phillip Island, you cannot be serious!
After yet another busiest summer on record, why on earth would you be considering yet another caravan park/camping ground, at Forrest Caves?
We already have far more visitors than we need and there is no compulsion to provide for any more.
Anyone who has spent a winter on the Island knows that the flat, exposed site proposed at Forrest Caves goes under sheets of water after heavy rain.
And when the traffic is banked up from Newhaven to the racetrack on a Sunday afternoon, who needs another 500 cars trying to turn out onto the road from Forrest Caves?
If people want to visit the coast there is plenty of room for them at Kilcunda or Cape Paterson, without crushing Phillip Island’s already overloaded infrastructure.
