Looking like a snake with a busted spine, this truck came to rest in a precarious position near Coal Creek on Friday.
IT’S ALWAYS the way – after a dry spell, the roads become treacherous in a heavy shower and so it was on Friday morning.
A truck, from Melbourne, heading towards Leongatha came to grief on the bends near Coal Creek, Korumburra.
The driver of the truck lost control and jack-knifed before the vehicle came to rest on the wrong side of the South Gippsland Highway.
Fortunately, there was no other vehicle involved and the truck driver was uninjured.
Police directed traffic around the truck until a heavy haulage vehicle arrived to assist.
A large chunk of the highway was damaged where the truck ground to a halt.
South Gippsland Shire parks and garden staff also assisted by urging drivers to slow down around the blind bends.
