anzac_1615There’ll be a strong contingent of locals at Anzac Cove this Saturday, April 25 to represent Australia, their community and their families and among them will be Korumburra’s Dennis Conn, one of very few sons of Anzacs in a crowd numbering 10,000 or more.
He got the call up to fill a last-minute vacancy only a few weeks ago, and with his son Travis, jumped at the opportunity to walk in his father, Bill Conn’s steps, 100 years on. Read his story and those of many others in a 10-page Anzac Day feature inside.
You’ll also find details about what’s happening in your area on Anzac Day and how you can support your local RSL in paying a fitting tribute to all our ex-service personnel but mostly to those who fought for our freedom in The Great War, 100 years ago today.
