A Blue Hyundai sedan and a Gold Peugeot sedan were expected to be written off after a head on collision at McKenzie Street, Wonthaggi on Thursday afternoon, to start a busy weekend for the Bass Coast Highway Patrol.
THE Easter Weekend didn’t get off to the best start on the roads, with a head on collision at McKenzie Street, Wonthaggi on Thursday afternoon.
A Blue Hyundai sedan was believed to have crossed onto the other side of the road and collided with an oncoming Gold Peugeot sedan.
Leading Senior Constable Allan Piening of the Bass Coast Highway Patrol suspected driver inattention was the cause of the accident.
The two drivers escaped without injury and the road was cleared quickly, with traffic diverted for a short period.
Both cars were expected to be written off.
