LEONGATHA and District Netball Association’s 50th anniversary celebrations are so big, it has to be held over two days.
This weekend Leongatha will be buzzing as hundreds of guests, past netball players, sponsors, umpires and administrators celebrate the golden anniversary.

There will be memorabilia displays in the pavilion, including team photos from the many towns involved and many pieces of history that could not fit into the 50th anniversary book, collated by LDNA life member Pat Kuhne.
At 2pm, after the club games, there will be an open afternoon tea in the clubrooms sponsored by Bendigo Bank.
At 6pm there will be a formal dinner and the book launch at the Leongatha Grandstand function rooms; this event has sold out.
Special guests at the dinner include Jenny Sanchez, president of Netball Victoria, Anne Castles, umpire development coordinator for Netball Victoria, Lisa Alexander, head coach of the Australian Diamonds, Cr Jim Fawcett and Garry van Sinderen, the only male president of LDNA who will act as MC.
