A 27 YEAR-OLD Inverloch man was lucky to escape with non-life-threatening injuries after crashing his ute last Tuesday morning.
The man, who was also towing a work trailer, lost control of his vehicle on the Strzelecki Highway at Leongatha North just before 7am.
The ute and trailer left the road, hitting a tree, causing the ute to flip onto its side.

The driver was lucky to escape without serious injuries after the vehicle was almost  unrecognisable following the incident.

The drama did not stop there, with two cars stopping to assist the injured driver then colliding with each other. Both vehicles had to be towed from the scene.
The driver of the ute was taken to Latrobe Regional Hospital.
Emergency services including the Leongatha Police and CFA attended the scene, reducing the highway to one lane for more than an hour.
The cause of the crash is being investigated by police.
