IT JUST goes to show you, even in a tight market, people are still prepared to buy if you put up a genuine offer and make sure as many people as possible know about it.
That’s what the delighted team at Wonthaggi Holden found out last weekend during their annual ‘Holden 4 Day Sale’ with a record number of cars sold across the weekend.
“It’s been brilliant,” said Sales Manager James Chetcuti.
“The weather was perfect and we had a lot of comments about how good the dealership and the cars looked with all the flags and balloons around the place.
“A lot of people stopped just to see what was going on.
“The response was fantastic and we’d like to thank everyone for their support.
“Holden really has a great line-up of cars at the moment and people recognised the offer of a 5-year warranty, five years Roadside Assist plus some generous factory bonuses this weekend as a really good opportunity to buy.
“Quite a lot of those who came on the weekend had already done their homework. They knew what they wanted and were happy to take advantage of the additional benefits being offered.”
As well as extensive local press advertising, supported by radio and TV; Holden also home-delivered a catalogue to make sure everyone knew the sale was on.
“We weren’t sure how we’d go opening on Sunday but it was great.
“At various stages, there were a lot of people here wanting to take test drives and ask about the cars,” said Wonthaggi Holden sales team member Rob O’Neill.
“We sold cars right across the board from Colorado and Captiva to Commodore and Barina,” said James.
“We even sold the Cascada and we’re pleased to say, it will be staying local.”
The Cascada is a limited edition, eye-catching European designed and manufactured sports car with a retractable roof; ideal for a country drive in last weekend’s sunny weather. It was one of only 50 available for sale across Australia.
“It all went off tremendously well and we’d especially like to thank people for supporting the local dealership.”
