THE Bass Valley Pony Club is delighted to have been a successful applicant in the recent round of Bass Coast Shire Council Community Grants.
The grant was used to purchase a set of harrows so that the members and supporters can maintain the club’s arena.
In the past, BVPC has been dependent on the generosity of the Woolamai Racecourse Committee or fundraising to pay contractors to help maintain the arena.
“This grant has allowed us to become self-sufficient for our arena maintenance and able to put our hard earned fundraising dollars into other important needs,” said District Commissioner Bass Valley Pony Club, Sally Lowe.
“BVPC is very grateful for the support the Bass Coast Shire provides to community groups through the Community Grants program.
“The Bass Valley Pony Club is a small friendly club that meets at the Woolamai Racecourse on the third Sunday of the month.
“We are actively seeking new members to join us.”
