SOME of Victoria’s best sheep dogs and their trainers were in action at the Korumburra Showgrounds last week.
The three day Korumburra Agricultural and Pastoral Society South Eastern Victorian Sheep Dog Trials attracted a large number of competitors from across the state and as far as Queensland.
This year, there were four major sections including the Encourage Trial which is run in conjunction with the Novice Trial, Improvers Trial and the Ross Family Memorial Open Trial.
Locals again performed well during the competitions with Berrys Creek’s Jean Moir a standout in the Novice section, while Mt Eccles’ Luke Harris finished second the in the ‘Highest Score Each Day’ category.
