OFFERING the best deal used to be the ultimate when selling a new or used car but discerning buyers today want more.
And at Wonthaggi Holden and Toyota last week, they gave them more… service until 2020 on most Holden models,
access to a range of factory special offers, top trade-in rates, lowest possible prices already marked on the cars and great finance deals.
They also gave buyers a fun couple of days.
“We had a great response and we sold a lot of cars but we also had a lot of fun,” said Wonthaggi Holden Sales Manager, James Chetcuti.
“It’s not often you see people laughing when they are spending money on buying a new or used car but they were last week.
“We had the cash tube (cash grab wind machine), test drives, the barbecue, giveaways, lucky dips, prizes. People really loved it and they bought cars.
“A lot of what goes into selling a car these days is getting people out, to come and have a look, because the reality is that the price of cars and the special offers available now have never been better.
“Most of the wanted features they have in cars today come as standard. They are safer, more efficient, more comfortable and quieter on the road. And if you can have some fun while you’re doing it, why not?”
It was one of the best two days Wonthaggi Holden and Wonthaggi Toyota have had, with impressive sales figures across the board but it was the enjoyment aspect that really set it apart.
“We’ll definitely be doing it again at some stage,” said James.
But for now, the special offers continue with Wonthaggi Holden and Toyota concentrating on their annual ‘Plate Clearance Sale’.
“Everything with a 2015 build date has got to go until the end of December and into early January, and we make a special effort to get our stocks down so we can start afresh in the New Year, which means there are some super deals on 2015 plated cars.”
