THE Premier Daniel Andrews is in Wonthaggi today, visiting a local business, the Cape Paterson Surf Lifesaving Club and meeting with the Bass Coast Shire Council behind closed doors.
But he has reportedly missed a chance to visit the dilapidated Wonthaggi Secondary College’s senior campus. It’s redevelopment is the region’s most pressing issue.
With heavy rain falling, it would have been a good opportunity to see how poorly the aged infrastructure copes with bad weather.
It may be that a Bass Coast Shire Council delegation will raise this school funding issue, and that of the hospital redevelopment plans with the Premier.
Details in next week’s Sentinel-Times.
