In Williams Street, Inverloch, near the corner of Bruce Street, there is one of the council’s “boasting” signs – you know the type; “We are spending your money to fix the road etc”.
And they spend a bit more to have a sign made to tell us what they are doing.
This sign is 12 months past its use by date.
It was telling us all about the drainage work that was being done at the end of A’Beckett Street early in 2015.
The fact that the roads were closed, I think, gave us all an idea some work was being done.
Now this sign is an eyesore as it is no longer needed.
It is at an angle that it could fall on to the path and should have been removed a long time ago.
Now as this appears to be a simple task, I feel our councillor and council should be able to have the job done without the need for yet another consulting firm to tell them how to do it, and this time, try to think for themselves.
Robert Scott, Inverloch.
