POLICE from the Bass Coast Tasking Unit have uncovered yet another cannabis growing operation in the Leongatha/Korumburra area after executing a search warrant in Leongatha on Wednesday, June 29.
However, on this occasion, they have arrested to two at the Byrne Street house where the drugs were seized.
Police executed the warrant at the residential address in Leongatha at about 5pm and seized over 16 kg of dried cannabis, 91 cannabis plants and hydroponic equipment used for growing cannabis.
A 34-year-old Leongatha man has been charged with trafficking a commercial quantity of cannabis, theft and other-drug-related offences.
He has been remanded to appear at the Korumburra Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, June 30.
A 44-year-old Korumburra man has been released pending further enquiries.
