LEONGATHA Motors has brought Subaru to town, perfectly complementing the established Holden dealership.
Leongatha Motors’ Russell Hemming said it’s a perfect fit, albeit a little snug.
“It’s a big brand and Subaru suits South Gippsland with its all-wheel drive vehicles.
“It’s totally different to Holden so they will complement each other well.”
The hundreds of Subaru owners in South Gippsland will be thrilled to know that Leongatha Motors will be able to carry out full service and warranty work from the Koonwarra Road workshop, eliminating the need to go to the Valley or Melbourne.
Not that anything goes wrong with a Subaru.
“They have a great reputation for reliability,” Russell said.
“And they’re probably more affordable than a lot of people realise.”
An example is the Subaru Forester.
“With everything you get with a Forester, people think they’d be selling for $40,000 plus, but you can get a new one for around $36,000.
“It’s a good brand with a big range.”
Subarus come with a Boxer engine and are quality built in Japan.
The Forester comes with either a turbo petrol, standard petrol or diesel engine, while the Outback (Russell’s personal favourite) also has three engine types; the 2.5l petrol, 2l turbo diesel or the 3.6l six cylinder engine.
The Liberty sedan on display at Leongatha Motors provides a great example of the technology Subaru are now running with.
The Eyesight Crash Avoidance system is now standard on Liberty and is available in other Subaru models. The system will ensure the car maintains a safe distance between you and the car in front at all times.
“It’s high end technology at an affordable price,” Russell said. “Subaru is one of the few mainstream brands to make this available.”
Not only are Subaru cars smart, they’re sexy too. The popular WRX and new XV models in the showroom are sure to impress.
“There is something for everyone in the range,” Russell said.
To officially launch Subaru in Leongatha, Leongatha Motors will have a party all day this Saturday.
There’ll be a sausage sizzle, Star FM broadcasting live and a representative from Subaru will there to chat about the range. You can also take your favourite model for a test drive.
More cars are arriving this week and the signs are set to go up so keep an eye on the changes at Leongatha Motors.
