CONTRACTORS for VicRoads set to work on the troublesome drainage issue on the Korumburra-Wonthaggi Road, outside the Korumburra Secondary College, last week and believe they have fixed the problem.
Regional Director for VicRoads, Scott Lawrence, said the authority was responding to requests from the community when attending to the problem.
“It’s an area where we have had problems with flooding as a result of a blocked drain but hopefully that issue has been set right now,” he said on ABC Radio this week.
Crews worked for days on the problem but the proof will be in how well the problem drain works over the months ahead, including this week when more heavy rain is forecast.
