Erosion at Inverloch Surf Beach: call it what it is – climate change. Oceans are warming and bulking up, glaciers and icecaps are melting. The rate of sea level rise is increasing.
While erosion in winter is usual and beaches build up in summer, higher sea levels and a warmer atmosphere mean erosion is dominating.
Climate change is not going away, it is ramping up. The longer governments in Australia take to accept the era of fossil fuels is over, and embrace the opportunities of renewables, the greater the cost will be to all.
