THE South Gippsland Dairy Expo will return to Korumburra for the sixth year, although the event is celebrating 17 years of showcasing the latest in innovation, products and services for the dairy industry.
The Korumburra Showgrounds was full of action on Monday, September 26, with tents popping up left right and centre to accommodate all the exhibitors.
Chairman of the South Gippsland Dairy Expo, Cliff Wallace, said that it was the exhibitors who make the event such a great success year after year.
“We’re really happy with the exhibitors who have stuck with us for another year. We understand that it’s tough for them at the moment too,” Mr Wallace said.
“There are also some new exhibitors this year, which is great. On Sunday we had another three exhibitors sign up, and we’re struggling to find a space to fit them all.”
The expo, which will run from Wednesday, September 28 until Thursday, September 29, will have free entry, in an effort to get farmers off the farm for a day and back into the dairy community.
“We understand that it’s been tough for all in the dairy industry, so this is a good opportunity to get all the exhibitors together, all the farmers, to have a look at what’s on offer and to just talk about what’s happening in the dairy industry,” Mr Wallace said.
“We have so many great exhibitors this year, it’s a great position to be in. Our wonderful exhibitors are the key to our success.”
