And they’re off in the 120th Inverloch Parkrun in ideal running conditions.

THEY’RE got more than 200 Parkruns between them but neither Glenn Sullivan nor Bill Barry have ever run the 5km as fast as they did last Saturday morning.
In ideally cool but fine conditions, the two running mates pushed off at the head of the field of 90 runners and worked hard all the way to go within an ace of breaking 18 minutes for the first time.
For Bill, first across the line is was a super PB of 18 minutes right on the knocker while Glenn was two strides behind in 10:06, also his personal best for many months.
Both were spent after the run but finished in good style indicating a sub-18 minute finish is possible.
In fact there were 14 PBs in the field as times improve with the arrival of the finer weather.
The Inverloch Parkrun starts every Saturday morning at the Rotary Rotunda in Ramsay Boulevard at 8am. Register online, bring a copy of your barcode and be there, next Saturday.
