THE Longwarry Football Club is looking forward to holding its fifth Heritage Truck/Vehicle/Stationary and Steam Engine Display and Market on February 4 and 5 at the Longwarry football ground.
Last year’s display had more than 200 trucks and working stationary and steam engines and with this year’s looking to go well above that number it should be a great event to attend.
Come along and see the history of road transport.
These exhibitors put plenty of work into their vehicles and working stationary engines and they are well worth having a look at.
The event is being held across two days with Saturday kicking off at 9am to the public.
Entry will be $5 per head with children under 12 free.
There will also be entertainment for the kids including amusement rides, food stalls, refreshments and a licensed bar is all available.
There will be a three course meal on Saturday night at the Longwarry Public Hall available at $25 per head.
Bookings are essential. Call Pete on 0419 001 948 or Helen on 0437 953 304.
Sunday’s event starts at 9am and follows the same as Saturday but will also include a market and swap meet and live music.
Organisers are happy to hear from anyone who would like to display old trucks/skills or would like a market site however this needs to be done quickly as sites are now limited.
For anyone wishing to attend both days, two-day passes are available for $7.50 per head.
The club would like to thank the Drouin & District Community Bank for its continued support to the event.
