ORGANISATIONS from across Phillip Island banded together to support the Handstands for Hayden event at Newhaven College on Sunday, raising funds for Rhyll’s Hayden Marshall, who was left paralysed after a trampoline accident in September.
After 194 days, Hayden returned home on Thursday in time for the event and his trademark smile warmed the hearts of those in attendance.
The Pierce Brothers wowed the audience on stage during the afternoon, while a sea of kids and parents joined the handstand record attempt in the afternoon.
Hayden took to the stage to thank his family, friends and the community for their generosity and all of the support he has received since his accident.
He will now spend two weeks on the Gold Coast for intensive therapy as part of his ongoing rehabilitation.
