What was the middle-aged woman doing at 8.43am on Wednesday, August 30 as she was passing Wonthaggi Secondary College, Dudley Campus in her car?
Though behind the wheel, she certainly wasn’t concentrating on driving the car as her eyes and mind were obviously focussed elsewhere.
Head down, she was looking at something in her lap and looked as though she were doing something, presumably with her mobile phone.
If anything untoward had happened, such as a student or a dog running across the road, she would have been unaware.
Will it take a tragedy for her and others like her to stop texting, ringing up or whatever ‘multi-tasking’ she was doing to concentrate on driving something that, in a split second, could become a maiming or killing machine?
