SUCH has been the increased level of interest in Inverloch in recent times that property, anywhere near the water, has risen by 15% to 20% in the past six months.
That’s good news for those who already own land within walking distance of the ocean, but it also underscores the value of properties for sale in this area.
Among them, a striking example in fact of what’s on offer at Inverloch, only a stone’s throw from the surf beach, are the four houses that make up the Inlet Sands development.
Priced from $800,000 to $1,060,000, they might once have been considered to be at the top end of the market but, if that was true, the market has now come up to meet them.
“We sold a block of land in Lohr Avenue for just over $600,000 recently and for anything in the area, with a house on a full block, you are talking $1.2m to $1.4m in many cases now,” said selling agent for Inlet Sands, Pat Barry of Southcoast First National Real Estate.
“And these are really superb properties,” he said of Inlet Sands.
“They’re full-sized homes of three to four bedrooms, with two bathrooms, two living areas, double garages and three with front gardens.
“They’ve all been designed to make the best use of light; shaded and cool in summer and bright and warm in the winter.
“And really, the location cannot be beaten.
“They feature all the best European appliances and don’t want for anything in that regard.
“We had an open day here over the weekend and received some very favourable feedback.”
Created by award winning builders and designers Steve Fisher of Innovative Homes P/L and Peter Jackson Designs, each one of the homes has its own unique appeal but also with the qualities of tasteful décor, spacious luxury living and the sound of the sea in common.
Inspection is a must over the Melbourne Cup Weekend.
