Beau Vernon steps down after flag success
THE Leongatha Football Netball Club premiership winning coach Beau Vernon has decided to step down as senior coach of the club after four years at the helm.
Beau said a number of personal reasons influenced his decision with his growing family and health being at the forefront.
Beau also said “it was one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever had to make but I know the group of players assembled at the club now have more success ahead.”
The journey that the Leongatha Football Netball Club and Beau have been on in the last few years has been nothing short of incredible.
All culminating in a fantastic grand final win that held so much raw emotion for all players, supporters and volunteers involved. The sheer joy experienced that day will not soon be forgotten.
In a statement, the Leongatha Football Netball Club said it would like to thank Beau, his wife Lucy and parents Kerrie and Darryl for their unwavering commitment to the Parrots during this period and wish them all the best in the next phase of their lives.
