What? A car ferry? No thanks.
Phillip Island already has more cars on the roads than there has ever been, and there is no need for more.
We don’t need the dubious economic benefits of the proposed ferry, as we already have more residents, and more tourists, spending more money here than they have ever done.
If a business on Phillip Island cannot operate successfully in these times, then the problem is the business, not the number of customers.
A quick look at the employment section of this paper will show that there are numerous jobs for people who have appropriate training, and continued forecast growth will ensure more in future.
In short, there is no reason to despoil our beaches or clog our roads for a project of unproven viability and unwelcome costs.
