Thank you so much for your support of my Open Garden at ‘Serendipity’ in Koo Wee Rup last weekend, it was a wonderful success.
It is so heartening to receive the support of local newspapers in getting the message out about my fundraising efforts for the Bionics Institute. Many visitors said they had seen the article in the Sentinel-Times.
The event raised $2500 which has now been sent to the Bionics Institute in Melbourne, specifically for use in the ground-breaking new BabyLab, helping to obtain the best possible outcomes for babies and young children with Cochlear Implants.
One hundred and eighty people came through on Saturday and Sunday enjoying the peaceful ambience, perfume and colour of the garden, and the company of kindred spirits relaxing with a hot cuppa in ‘Café Serendipity’.
I am deeply appreciative of all the support from my family, and Lang Lang Garden Club friends, who helped by manning the gate, café and plant stall both days. I could not run such a successful event without their staunch support.
Suzanne de Pelsenaire, Koo Wee Rup.
Open Garden a resounding success
