FOUR Korumburra Gun Club members and their families recently travelled to Canterbury Clay Target Club in Christchurch, New Zealand, to shoot the New Zealand skeet national titles.
Max Oakley, Tim Stockdale, Jack Stockdale and Charlie Cook all shot exceptionally well winning and placing in many events.
In the NZ Skeet Championship, the High Gun Overall winner was Jack Stockdale whose 100/100 gave him another national title, his fifth open national title.
In the same event Tim Stockdale shot 99/100 to take second place in A Grade and third went to Charlie Cook with 98/100.
In the NZ Skeet Doubles Championship, Charlie shot 93/100 to take second place in A Grade and Jack won the Junior title shooting 97/100.
In the NZ 28 Gauge Skeet Championship, Charlie finished first place shooting 49/50 to take the junior title.
The Glenn Trophy was contested between New Zealand and Australia. Australia won this competition by one target shooting a score of 242/250. Max Oakley from Korumburra Gun Club was selected to be part of this winning team that took gold.
Korumburra Gun Club President Trenton Tobias said that he is exceptionally proud of the members that attended the New Zealand national skeet titles.
