There’s no better way to bring people together, for a worthy cause, than the mighty cup of tea, and of course, the creamed scones and cake.
This year Cape’s Cuppa was a sell-out, with more than 160 people attending.
A standing ovation was given to our guest speaker Peter Hudson after he shared his enlightening knowledge of modern cancer treatments and his welcoming message that yes, one day researches will find a cure. Thank-you, Peter.
To all those people who attended, volunteers, to those who gave donations, bought raffle tickets, and those who gave their support – a very big thank-you.
To the sponsors who gave so graciously, Bunnings Warehouse, Coffee Collective, Coles, Enter Hair, Miners Dispensary, Revive, Sea Salt Café, The Cape Tavern, The Coffee Collective, Woolworths, thank-you for your support.
Lastly, I would like to thank my two daughters, Linda and Alison. Alison made and kindly donated the quilt especially for the main raffle and Linda acted as my MC and auctioneer on the day.
This year being the 25th Anniversary of Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea for cancer, it is my pleasure to announce that together we raised $5600 to ensure that on-going research will happen.
Doreen Parsons, Cape Paterson.
