THE Leongatha Gymnastics Club recently took 38 local gymnasts to Traralgon to compete
against other clubs from across Gippsland and east Melbourne.
The club’s results were:
Level 1 Blue: fourth in vault and eighth overall.
Level 1 Yellow: 11th overall.
Level 2 Yellow: first in vault, sixth for bar, second on the beam, sixth for floor and sixth overall.
Level 2 Green: third for vault, sixth for bar, seventh overall.
Level 3 Green: fourth vault, fifth bar, fifth beam, fifth floor and sixth overall.
Level 3 Blue: second vault, sixth floor, seventh overall.
Level 4: India Curtis first vault, Zara Borg second vault and fifth bar, Georgia Wright fifth vault and April Reeves fourth floor. Team was third overall.
Level 5: Chelsea Patton fourth beam, Tori Legg fifth vault, Eleanor Wright first bar, first floor and first overall. Team was third overall.
It was a 12 hour day of competition broken into three sessions with lots of great results.
The Level 3, 4 and 5 gymnasts were in action at Maffra on September 23 for the Senior Gippsland Championships.
