A RE-ELECTED Andrews Labor Government will establish the Bunurong Coastal Park – connecting the existing Bunurong Marine Park and Bunurong Coastal Reserve, Punchbowl Reserve and the Kilcunda-Harmers Haven Coastal Reserve – dotted along 40km of coastline between San Remo and Inverloch.
Minister for Regional Development Jaala Pulford visited Kilcunda on Friday to announce $19.6 million to extend the George Bass Coastal Walk, making it possible to walk from San Remo to Inverloch and open the area up to campers for the first time.
“Camping and hiking isn’t just a great way to spend time with family and friends and get outside, it contributes millions of dollars to the Gippsland economy – and that means local jobs,” Ms Pulford said.
