Please find attached a statement from Parkinson’s Victoria about a new Peer Support Group starting in Wonthaggi.
Any support you can give in letting people know about this new community group would be much appreciated.
The newest Parkinson’s Peer Support Group will hold its inaugural meeting on Friday, November 16, extending this important local support system to people living with Parkinson’s in Wonthaggi and surrounding areas.
Wonthaggi PSG Coordinator and local community advocate Gill Heal is excited about the formation of the new group, where people can share their Parkinson’s journey with others who have direct experience of the condition.
“There are so many resources the group can tap into, so many initiatives to hear about,” Gill said.
“The beauty of a group like this is that we can draw up an agenda that has something for everyone. It’s exciting,” she said.
Free to attend, this event is open to people living with Parkinson’s, family members and friends. Afternoon tea will be provided.
Details: Friday, November 16, time 1pm–3pm, location The Miners Dispensary (Board Room), 169 Graham St, Wonthaggi RSVP:
