WHETHER it was the colour orange, the conga music by the Savannah African Drummers or the intoxicating aromas coming from the Leongatha Men’s Shed barbecue, you couldn’t miss the awareness message being put out by the Wonder Women beside the Memorial Hall in Leongatha on Saturday, December 1.
It’s all part of the international ’16 days of activism’ against gender-based violence, until December 10, which was Human Rights Day.
And it certainly helped that the first day of summer was the ideal day for being outside spreading the word.
