GIPPSLAND Southern Health Service, the organisation which operates the Korumburra and Leongatha hospitals, aged care facilities Alchera House, Hillside Lodge and Koorooman House, as well as the health centre at Tarwin Lower and a range of community and home care services, held its annual general meeting last Thursday at Korumburra.
It was reported that the hospital posted an operating result of $565,000, down from $1.12 last year, but actually received $2 million more than the previous year in operating grants from the government for care provided.
