FEATURING modern, luxurious accommodation in a friendly community, Leongatha’s Mountain View Village offers many reasons to look forward to retirement.
Choose your lifestyle and enjoy your master-built villa with dedicated staff and state of the art recreation facilities all within easy reach.
The comfort and ease of living at Mountain View never fails to impress new residents, like Leongatha couple Peter and Val Gore, who recently made the big move out of their home of 20 years to a brand-new villa.
Peter and Val weren’t planning on moving so soon, but a tour of Mountain View – after their daughter Julie showed them an advert in the Sentinel-Times – was all it took to convince them that the low-maintenance lifestyle they were looking for was just around the corner in the community they already knew and loved.
“We were very impressed by the tour,” Val told the Sentinel-Times from her new lounge room last week.
“Everything was so clean and nicely set out. It’s all really modern and you have everything at your fingertips, so it’s a much more relaxing lifestyle. And it feels very safe too.”
One feature of the villa that immediately caught the couple’s eye was the garden – a much more manageable size than their previous block.
They were also thrilled to be able to bring their little dog Benny with them.
“You’ve got everything here you could want,” said Val.
“You’re near to everything and there’s lots to do. We haven’t been here very long but we’re getting the garden established with some flowers, and we’ll give the swimming pool a try when it warms up a bit!
“With the weather at the moment, we’re staying indoors where it’s nice and warm and cosy. Peter likes to read and do crosswords.
“I do a bit of baking. And we have our daughter come and visit.”
Peter and Val also love the welcoming community feel of Mountain View, and the lovely manager, Rosa Sinopoli.
“Rosa just can’t do enough for you. If there’s anything you need help with, they offer.
“If you’re sick, you just ring a button. There’s always someone around and they encourage you to socialise and join in.
“We’ve already met a lot of residents and they’re all very nice and friendly,” said Val.
