Seventy-one wallabies and 11 rabbits – road kill… tell me this is a joke (‘Save our wildlife’ says Ron, Sentinel-Times, June 4).
A feral animal of the worst kind, one of the most destructive introduced into Australia in our history, and as for wallabies also introduced to Phillip Island in the 1960s.
We tried to eradicate them but failed, they were soon out of control.
The same has happened with the introduction of Cape Barren Geese. Up to 500 grazing on some farms.
They have reached pest proportions as all these introduced animals do. Ron Day, you really are on a different planet than a lot of people.
