How typical of our Labor MPs to simply brush off an issue when asked for intervention.
[Bass] MP [Jordan] Crugnale’s response to the question posed to her on police numbers in Inverloch (Sentinel-Times, July 9) was nothing more than mortifying that she put the issue back into the chief commissioner’s basket and then made a ridiculous comment about Morwell receiving 30 new police which service Inverloch.
By the time an officer gets from Morwell to Inverloch a crook will most likely be absconded back into the metropolis of Melbourne and have disappeared.
We expect and deserve positive responses from MPs not political waffle.
How hard would it have been for her to say that she will take the issue up with her colleague the police minister and give a date three or four weeks out for a response.
