As reported two weeks ago, the goalposts have changed.
Back in February this year the council deemed Grayden’s Reserve, Newhaven, unsuitable because of close proximity to houses; insufficient parking; future construction of a roundabout may impact on the size of the Reserve and limited natural surveillance, so what has changed?
Well nothing actually yet, the council have now decided that Grayden’s Reserve is a perfect spot for a regional skate park.
The park is constantly in use by locals and visiting families having picnics, barbecues and playing – it’s such a shame that it will be dug up and filled with concrete to appease a small minority.
