On Saturday, March 14, ninety women and five men from the length and breadth of Bass Coast and beyond, joined the Bass Coast Community Foundation to celebrate International Women’s Day, and the launch of a special fund to support Bass Coast women and their families.
It was a privilege to share the day with so many people and experience the Bass Coast community spirit in action. Amazing support from across the community made this event possible.
• The businesses who generously sponsored us including Inverloch and District Bendigo Community Bank, TS Constructions, Eugenie’s, Talum Windows, The Cape Kitchen and those who wish to remain anonymous.
• Other businesses who purchased tables for their staff and
• The Bass Coast Shire Council who provided a community grant
• Then there were the talented women – artist, musician, marketer, guest speaker, and mistress of ceremonies who donated their time and expertise.
This was an outstanding example of a local community working together for the benefit of others.
As the convenor of the Bass Coast Community Foundation, Women for Change Working Group, I was overwhelmed, and express my sincere gratitude for everyone’s support. A response like this inspires the Bass Coast Community Foundation to continue to build our philanthropic funds for the benefit of the Bass Coast Community and in this case, women and their families needing support.
Bass Coast women, you are awesome!
The event raised over $7000 for the Women for Change Fund.
