THERE has been an overwhelmingly positive start to term two at Leongatha Secondary College with remote and flexible learning.

Teachers are being very inventive with their lessons to engage students and adapt to this new way of learning.

And many are enjoying the change from the classroom.

Mr Cross brings a new meaning to teaching woodwork online.

Virtual classrooms are the new norm for teachers and students who can see one another on their devices, ask questions of their teacher and fellow students, and work through lessons as a team.

One LSC parent commented: “My kids are engaged, relaxed and laughing. I appreciate all the thinking and hard work that has gone into the planning.

“Small hiccups with technology are just that. We manage what we can and are not stressed thanks to your flexible attitude towards remote learning. We consider ourselves very lucky.”

With this positive attitude from families, together we can all learn and grow with this new approach to teaching and learning.

The school would like to extend a big thank you to teachers, support staff, students and parents for their positive approach and great work over the first week.
